Quantum 2.0

Quantum 2.0

Overview

The current research activities on Quantum 2.0 at LINCS are still on going. But there are additional research topics that are interesting to look at :

Quantum information theory: The quantum version of information theory is already well established (quantum channels, quantum noise modeling, etc.), but there is room for addi1onal research on that topic, e.g. finding some bounds on what can be achieved in quantum networks.

Quantum networks: Many tools and frameworks that have been used by researchers at LINCS in classical networks could be reused and adapted to solve problems in quantum networks: queuing theory, network coding, network calculus, graph theory, etc. Regarding graph theory, the concept of
quantum graph states models mul1par1te entanglement between qubits: looking at potential usage of classical graph theory may be interesting.

Quantum distributed systems: On Quantum distributed systems there are still many things to do in research, exploring new quantum advantages and exploiting them in new quantum applications that could run on the future quantum networks.
