Abstract
Vehicular ad hoc networks are composed by vehicles sharing data over the radio channel. They are the basic infrastructure of Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS), where vehicles communicate with other vehicles, with other nomadic devices and with the infrastructure, in order to increase road safety and eventually to enable cooperative and autonomous driving applications. This talk will overview some practical issues in the design and deployement of C-ITS originating from the use of heterogeneous radio access technologies.
