In a recent work (that was presented in LINCS the 02/10/2024), Junse Lee and François Baccelli introduced a (toy) model to study the impact of RIS for line of sight connection to a NTN in an urban context, modeling buildings as obstacles on top of which Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces relay the signal. We extends this model by both allowing arbitrary distributions for the buildings heights, and considering multi-hop connections. Those generalities also lead to considering structural problems linked to the total load of a relay.
