Abstract

Abstract:
IPv4 address exhaustion triggered two parallel efforts: the migration to IPv6, and the deployment of IPv4 service continuity technologies, for the most part based on Carrier-Grade NAT. This talk will provide a broad overview of the current situation with IPv6 migration, will explain what the major actors are currently doing, and will try to provide some insight about the future. In particular, CGN and its impacts will be examined. Related standardization efforts will be discussed as well.
