Event Type

#RegistrationForm

Similar to last year, for those who were there, this day is entirely dedicated to the PhD Students and Postdocs of the lab, and it consist of a morning with elevator pitches, posters and brainstorming, followed by a friendly lunch and a team-building activity held outdoors.

The purpose of this day is to provide them with an opportunity to present their work, learn about the research of their peers, and receive valuable feedback from senior members of the LINCS.

All PhD Students and Postdocs are kindly invited to present both a poster and an elevator pitch.

If you need your poster to be printed, please send it to me no later than June 16, as here at Telecom Paris the procedure requires a few days and it is not under my control.

Additionally, this event will serve as practice for those who will be presenting at the upcoming annual workshop in front of the scientific committee, scheduled for July 10 &11.

Fot the team building activity, we are still evaluating, but we are really grateful for the suggestions that some of you sent us.

The proposed lunch and recreational activity will be covered by LINCS.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

  • 8:45 – 12:00 TEAM BUILDING SESSION: The provider OOXYGENE – Jeux d’aventure will be happy to welcome you on Wednesday, June 25 at 9:30 AM. The meeting point is in the western section of Parc Eugène Chanlon, overlooking the quarry, precisely next to 47, rue de Corbeville (plan here attached). It will be a wildly dynamic and joyful adventure : the aim is slow down other teams or hide to escape them, find an immunity to protect yourself, or leave it up to fate; anything is possible, as long as your quest leads you to the legendary treasure before the others! Distance to be covered: about 2.5 to 3 km. Dress code: we recommend sports shoes, a cap, a water bottle, and shorts or lightweight trousers to roam the trails without getting scratched. There is no dedicated parking, but you can park in the surrounding streets (see the attached map). They suggest forming teams in advance (up to 7 participants per team), and ideally selecting one team leader per team (the team leader is only needed to ensure instructions are clearly understood during the pre-game briefing). A random draw to form teams can also be done on-site if you prefer. It’s 24 of you, so it could be 4 teams of 6 people). Would it be alright if you formed the groups yourselves? Please try to mix with people you don’t know yet! Please note: there are no public restrooms on site.

  • 12:00 – 13:45 LUNCH: It will take place in the hall of Telecom Paris or, weather permitting, in the adjacent inner garden next to the lecture halls.
