SUMMARY:Univity - when 5G meets VLEO satellites : the challenges of a 5G
 NTN network
DESCRIPTION:Founded in 2022\, Univity is a French startup that aims at
 deploying a mega constellation of satellites in very low Earth orbit
 (VLEO)\, using a 5G mmWave network to provide connectivity globally.\nIn
 this talk\, after a short introduction to Univity's activities\, we will
 present some components of Univity architecture and the key technological
 and mathematical challenges the design of such a system face : routing\,
 scheduling\, beamforming\, sizing of the satellites\, numerical
 simulations\, etc.\nSome aspects of this work is part of a collaboration
 between IMT and Univity\, and resulted in a published paper at IEEE
 GLOBECOM 2025 - Timing advance and Doppler shift estimation in LEO
 satellite networks: A recursive Bayesian study\, A. Balakrishnan\, P.
 Martins\, P. Popineau.
